Triple Threat: Boot Camp
Winter may finally be over, but when it comes to wearing boots, we’re just getting warmed up. The bare-legs-and-boots combo is proving irresistible this season—just take a look at the runway collections of trend-setting labels like Dior, Hood by Air and Louis Vuitton to see why. It was spotted all over Coachella, on the new brat pack girls Kendall and Gigi, as well as other celebs like Azealia Banks and Kylie Jenner, who all paired booties with short dresses, short skirts or short shorts (we’re seeing a clear theme here).
But rest assured, you don’t need to book a trip to So Cal to pull off this look. This trend is at once sophisticated, cool and casual, so you can wear it pretty much anywhere and anytime you want (so make that always). A flat pair in pointy-toe leopard-print with a solid dress and statement necklace works the room at both the office and après. Suede ankle boots with a stacked heel are made for a weekend in the city when paired with a printed dress and ’70s-inspired fringed bag. And when you’ve got a big night of party-hopping lined up, you’ll be ready for anything in a high-heeled, fringe-embellished pair of boots, leather shorts and a bright, sleeveless top.
